Veteran broadcaster Bill Czaja has called nearly 1,000 professional baseball games over 12 seasons in the business. He has been the voice of the Rockford RiverHawks of the independent Frontier League since 2002. His work this year included host/producer of RiverHawks Weekly, a show that included interviews with notable figures inside minor-league baseball, and play-by-play of the Northern Athletics Conference baseball tournament.
His other broadcast work includes college basketball and hockey play-by-play, high-school football play-by-play and college football reporting (non play-by-play). In addition, Czaja has extensive experience in print media, including six years at the Ann Arbor News, including stints as the beat writer for Michigan and Eastern Michigan baseball.
